Taylor Peck is a writer and director specializing in new works development. She holds an MFA in Playwriting from University of California at Riverside and a BA in Theatre Studies from Brigham Young University.

Her original plays have received regional and national recognition at KCACTF, and have been presented at BYU, UC Riverside, Hudson Guild Theatre, Toronto’s Theatre InspiraTO, the Barter Theatre of Virginia (AFPP), the Secret Theatre (MOD Theatre Co), Utah Valley University, and Tuacahn Center for the Arts.  Her play Project X was a finalist for Caltech/Pasadena Playhouse’s Mach 33, a semi-finalist for the Premiere Stages New Play Festival, and the recipient of the 2020 AML Award. Her new musical AIRBORN (co-written by Jordan Kamalu) was a finalist at NAMT 2019, received a staged reading as part of the Tuacahn New Works Series, and is currently undergoing development with Apples and Oranges Studios.  She is a member of the Librettists Workshop at the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop.

She recently directed the premieres of new works Theodore in the Valley (in preparation for a U.S. National Parks Tour),  A Night Song at Columbia University, and The Light Rail in Concert at The New York Musical Festival (NYMF).  She also recently made her directoral debut at Carnegie Hall, directing a devised musical exploration of Shakespeare’s Richard II in collaboration with the Glassbox Collective.  Other directing credits include happysadness, Last Train to Nibroc, and Private Lives at BYU, Mercy Meal and Bad Timing at UCR, and Steel Magnolias at the Echo Theater.  She is a member of the 2018 Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab.
